 Where Arts and Education Come Together

The Children's Creative and Performing Arts Academy was founded in June 1981 in Pacific Beach. The Campus population is approximately 350 students, with a diversity of backgrounds and interests. Students come to CCPAA from all corners of San Diego County. We have students from Escondido, Otay Mesa, La Jolla, Jamul and Ramona. Foreign students enjoy a special place here, as well. Representatives from such countries as Japan, Germany and Israel can be found in all divisions.

Summer Camp at San Diego & El Cajon

CCPAA will offer 5 programs this summer beginning June 16 and concluding on August 29.  For fees, registration and more information call San Diego at (619)-584-2454 and El Cajon at (619) 440-1704.

*1. Preschool:  cooking, gardening, sports, pottery, Spanish, science, Africa, Japan, zoology, folklore, costuming, art, puppetry, music, dance, Montessori curriculum and more.

*2.  Elementary:  Summer Production "Peter Pan" (San Diego) & "How to Eat Like a Child" (El Cajon).

Drama Camp, Pottery Workshop, Sports Camp, Science Camp, Dance Camp, Japanese Theater, Sewing Camp, and "Get Ready for School" Camp.

Field Trips to include:  ice skating, bowling, hiking, Balboa Park and more.

*3.  Middle  School:  Summer Production "Peter Pan".

Camps:  academics for review or advancement, sports clinic, pottery, drama workshop, tech theater,  computer skills, stitchery, science, Japanese Theater, Field Trips, and more.

 *4.  High School.  CCPAA is accredited by WASC.  Summer credit courses are available for students entering grade 9 through grade 12.

Courses offered are:  English (9, 10, 11,12 & ESL), computer (keyboarding, MSO, and html), all mathematics courses, world history, European history, U.S. history, U. S. government and economics, Spanish (I, II, III, IV AP), biology, chemistry, environmental science and physics. A non-credit SAT preparation course is offered. 

Drama Workshop  this drama ensemble will study and produce a classical play (to be announced).  One credit.

5. International Student Summer Program -ESL

 features a rigorous English program plus cultural activities and day trips to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Padres game, Balboa Park, Old Town, Disneyland (Los Angeles), Universal Studios (Los Angeles), Wax Museum-La Brea Tar Pits-Farmers' Market (Los Angeles), La Jolla Cove, USS Midway and more.  This program is available from June 23 through August 22.  Total price including tuition, fees and admissions, and room and board is $500 per week .  Fees are assessed by the number of weeks for which you register.  Please contact the office.  If you are interested in school year enrollment, the tuition is $8500 per year and room and board $6500 per year.

Saturday "Study" School is available as a wonderful quiet study time on assigned Saturdays from 9 a.m. - noon. Check the calendar!
